Ema Stoian is a film director and a PhD Fellow in Film Theory at the Beijing Film Academy. She served as President of the Romanian-Chinese Alumni Association, and as Founding President of the League of Romanian Students Abroad (LSRS) China. She focuses on strategic communications, public affairs, transnational cinemas, theories of globalization, culture translation, and Sino-Romanian relations.
She has significant experience in the production of feature films and in writing and directing short films and documentaries, and she is also a specialist in strategic communications and marketing. She has also served as a committee member for the China-Eastern Europe Film Promotion Project (CentEast) and has been part of the Beijing International Film Festival as an Award Committee Member, bringing with her a stellar reputation in optimizing Sino-Romanian cooperation and cultural co-productions.
