Octavian Partenie is an experienced Process Engineer turned entrepreneur. After completing his advanced degree and working for one year in R&D for DSM, he joined the oil & gas sector in 2011 working for Shell’s gas-to-liquids department. He provided technical support for Pearl GTL in Qatar and worked on the design of Gulf Coast GTL. In 2014 he was transferred to Shell Pernis, Europe’s largest refinery, as Hydroprocessing Technologist. Over the course of 2.5 years he initiated and lead the implementation of process improvement projects resulting in over 20M USD in increased revenue for the site. Since January 2017 he took on a set of new challenges as an entrepreneur in the engineering services and IT sectors, and more recently joined the non-profit sector as well supporting Restart.Network. He holds a master’s degree and a PDEng degree in chemical engineering.
