Daria Istrate is a strategist and former consultant with extensive international experience in healthcare / pharmaceuticals. She spent 6 years in strategy consulting with Roland Berger Strategy Consultants and later with IMS Health, guiding some of the largest corporations in the world on market entry strategies, restructuring, pricing & access, due diligence, and post-merger integration projects. She currently works at Genentech in the Market Analysis & Strategy group. In her professional as well as personal life, Daria is driven by the mission of building a better global future through health care, nutrition, and education. She partnered with the WHO (World Health Organization) on increasing access to essential medicines in Sub-Saharan Africa, worked with the WFP (World Food Program) on reducing growth stunting in Sudan and El Salvador, and spent three months in China and South Korea teaching leadership to high school students. Daria holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree from the Academy of Economic Studies.
